Oscar and Claire

It is great to have Max, Helen, and Oscar visit us, we spent two nice days together, mostly around the two children. Oscar is cute as ever, and I am very grateful that he did not forget "Ting Yeemou" (he even wanted me to hold him during part of the Monticello guided tour).

Long overdue, Oscar and Claire finally meet each other.

Claire reacts immediately to the grimace and singing of Max and Helen, she gives them a lot of smiles. I bet she remembers Max and Helen's voices, as I spent so much time with the Bohnenkamp family during my pregnancy.

At her two-month visit to the pediatrician (she is actually two months and one week old today), Claire received five vaccinations: one in the form of syrup, which she took with pleasure (probably thinking that it was milk), for the four injections, much less so. She hesitated during the first injection, apparently was not sure what was being done to her, once she realized the pain, the small animal started to cry. At first the crying was still mild, but when the injection happend again, she started screaming this time, and there were still two more to go...

By the way, she measures 63.5cm, weights 13lb 3 oz (5.9kg) today.

Claire's zoo / 明明的動物園

Claire's zoo has two sun and a large variety of animals (all stuffed, unfortunately): rabbit, duck, butterfly and caterpillar, dog, monkey, girafe, panda, cow, sheep, donkey, and different types of bears.



The three bears of St Catharine, dressed in my secondary school uniform, are emblems of my teenage days that will now accompany my daughter to create her own childhood memory.

PS: 5P girls, as Fung Mui reminded me when she sent the bears, it is 20years already since we met.

A nice day on Virginia beach / 我們看海去

明明第一次到海邊玩. 和她爸爸不一樣, 她對大西洋的浪不是很有興趣, 但在太陽傘下吹海風, 她卻表現得非常舒服. 在大太陽底下呆了一天, 滾了一身沙回來. 在回家的路上我們才擔心她會不會生病. 不過幸好, (我猜) 明明喜歡出去玩, 這種情況下通常不生病. =)
