At two year old, Ming Ming measures 91.5cm (3 feet) (95 percentile) and weights 13.6kg (30 lb) (80 percentile).

if you look close, you can see the tear on her face... got one vaccine this time, but she seemed to remember it longer, each time when she saw the band aid she started crying again. Otherwise the visit went really well, she was very cooperative and cheerful, even played with the doctor and nurses.

18 month check-up report

Ming Ming at 18 month:
Height - 35 inch (89cm), >97%
Weight - 26 lb (11.8kg), 75%
Head - 47 cm, 50-75%

She grew 10cm in the past six months, grew even faster than her first year. [Ming Ming, slow down, u are going to be a giant!]

She only had a hep A vaccine.

Ming Ming is obviously different compared to our last time in the doctor's. She still cried as soon as we entered the room. But when the doctor arrived and tried to interact with her, Ming Ming responded. She cheered herself and said "good job" and clapped her hands following the doctor's initiative, even though her good cheer was constantly intervened by fear. She would cheer, paused and wanted to cry, clapped her hands again as the doctor tried to divert her attention. The doctor's visit is usually a straight crying affair from beginning to end. Today I was amazed by how she has grew and matured.

Tonight we have dinner with Julian and his parents. Ming Ming kept saying "O-car" during the whole evening. But as soon as Julian left, she started asking for Julian for the following days. =)

1 year check up

Everything is perfect, Ming Ming is still tall - 31 1/8 inch (79 cm), still in the 97 percentile, 22.3 lb (10kg), 70 percentile, her head circumference is 46cm, 75 percentile.

She got four vaccines: MMR, chickenpox, pnenumococcal conjugate, and Hepatitis A, and also got her lead content checked, she scores 4, which is a bit higher than average (which is 3).

9-month check up

It is me who drove Ming Ming to the pediatrician's!! It is the first time that I drove with Ming Ming in the car without the supervision of a more experienced driver.

At 9 months, Ming Ming measures 29.5 inch , i.e. 75cm, that puts her in 97 percentile (she was 54 cm at birth), and weights 20 lb 4 oz, i.e. 9.2 kg (compared to 4kg at birth), 75 percentile.

No vaccination this time.
Her immunization record (for myself):
DTap (3 shots), HIB (PRP-T) (3), Hep B pediatric/adolescent (3), IPV (polio) (2), Influenza (6-35 months) (2), Pheumococcal (3), Rotavirus vaccine (3).

At her two-month visit to the pediatrician (she is actually two months and one week old today), Claire received five vaccinations: one in the form of syrup, which she took with pleasure (probably thinking that it was milk), for the four injections, much less so. She hesitated during the first injection, apparently was not sure what was being done to her, once she realized the pain, the small animal started to cry. At first the crying was still mild, but when the injection happend again, she started screaming this time, and there were still two more to go...

By the way, she measures 63.5cm, weights 13lb 3 oz (5.9kg) today.
