Day 11 (June 24th) - premier bain / 第十一天 - 第一次出浴

Siming was scared of water (as most new borns are, I am informed). After some screaming and kicking, she finally clamed down in the Chicago GSB towel (which Antoine received as a gift from the GSB school, their personalized marketing strategy is incredible).

The first thing she managed to do with her hands - hold the pacifier to her month.

The small feet suffered alot in the past ten days - a lot of blood drawing to test her blood suggar and jaundice level.

Finally fell asleep after the bath.

Siming in her mother's arms, after a fussy morning...

my mother is the only one who can clam her without resorting to food or pacifier.

Day 8 - Premiere Promenade et chasse / 第八天 - 第一次出行打獵

第一次帶思明出去散步, 居然在回家路上看見一隻小鹿, 站在我家陽台的下面一動不動.

Siming waking up after a long afternoon nap to welcome her dad.

Day 6 - June 18th - Skin to Skin 第六天早上

Too sore to breastfeed, we exercise another strategy this morning - Skin to skin. Siming clamed down really well on the chest of Antoine.

Day 5 /第五天 - Finally Home / 終於回家了

Day 4 - 第四天 Back to the hospital - Jaundice / 又回醫院 - 黃疸症

Siming was constantly crying and demanding to be nursed during the first day home. After a brief visit to the pediatrician, we were sent directly to emergency. Siming got jaundice. Another day in hospital turned out to be a good thing, I finally got to sleep, while she slept long hours under the lamp.
