we discovered a puppet theatre today
Other than the sticky bun that Ming Ming so relished (she is surely developing a sweet tooth), this is the other main attraction in the city market today, Ming Ming spent a long time here watching this man juggle.
In the afternoon we went to the Old Michie Theatre for a puppet show - "the city mouse and the country mouse". This is Ming Ming's first theatre experience. And for a 21-month-old, she did pretty well. The show is 40 mins long but Ming Ming sat through the whole thing, she moved from seat to seat (the place was not full), and was most excited when there was sound or lighting effect or when people clapped. She loved it when all the characters came out one by one to bow and there was a long applause from the audience, she clapped wholeheartedly like she had enjoyed very miunte of it. But of course it was not true. The narrative is still too difficult for her. But she enjoyed it nonetheless, especially the last part when it was demonstration time and she could play with the puppets herself. I asked if she wanna come back again when we were leaving, and she said that we should come back again tomorrow! =)

when mama was away for four days...
I was away in New Orleans for a conference, Ming Ming passed a long week-end with papa. I expected to hear complaints and cries, but, none, none at all. Antoine kept telling me Ming Ming was super nice to him. The two of them spent a week-end together packed with fun activities. Even the sleeping was not an issue, Ming Ming would cry a little bit, but insist on saying goodbye, and then fall asleep on her own. Sometimes she would tell herself "Mamon travaille" (mama is working), and she would read a story about a little monkey looking for his mother with Antoine.
This morning when Antoine brought her to me, she said to me: 媽媽做飯飯, 明明和爸爸玩玩 (mama cook, ming ming play with papa). Great, I can leave the two of them more often!
papa even took photos!
Easter eat hunt
another Easter egg hunt... merci Michael!
Ming Ming singing "ABC" in the car, Antoine took the video while driving, CRAZY!
