Alexandre and Ming Ming

Ming Ming wants the same treatment as Alexandre: when Mamiecath has Alexandre on her laps, she wants to sit there too; she wants me to hold her the exact same way I hold Alexandre; and here, you see what she takes from him!
But according to mamiecath, she is becoming gentler to him, and the teacher is Virus the cat. She learnt from the cat that if she approached it too heavy-handedly, the cat would run away, and she got to be as gentle to Alexandre as to the cat.

Ming Ming gets jealous when I hold Alexandre in my arms. Fortunately she seems to understand that Alexandre is a tiny baby, so she does not hit him or push him away, which is how she reacts when other children in her daycare come sit in my lap when I read them a story in the morning.

Alexandre, on the other hand, is very attracted by Ming Ming. He looks at her moving around in the house with interest, which is probably not surprising as Ming Ming moves a lot more than the adults in the house.

Ming Ming is not so interested when tonton plays beautiful classical music in his piano, but it is a whole different story when he plays "O Mcdonald had a farm".

Ming Ming loves the cat, she keeps asking tatie Sylvie if she can sleep with it and bring it back to Charlottesville with us. And whenever she protests over me holding Alexandre, "let's go look for the cat" would also turn her away from me.

cirque du soleil - Totem - le premier spetacle de Ming Ming

Ming Ming's first time in a cirque! She slept until the show started, I was afraid that she was going to be scared to woke up to the most fantastic scene, but she was fine. She was totally attracted during the first 3o minutes, clapping enthusiastically whenever the adults applauded. For the next 30 mins she watched but with less interest. Then, she fell asleep for the second half of the show, unfortunately this was her nap time.
