Ming Ming tries skiing

ski station at Le Massif de Charlevoix, 4 hours and a half from Montreal. We rent a holiday home at petite-riviere st Francois and today Ming Ming tried skiing for the first time.

Tree hunting 2013

same as last year, we went on a tree hunt with our neighbors. It was -10C, freezing cold.

a worker there commented that this was the happiest group of kids that he had seen all day... well, we arrived pretty early.

the difference this year was that we let the kids cut the trees. the trees for the Lacroix, Rudyhofer and Tingcadoux were all cut down by the kids.

she is known as "Ming Ming Cadoux"

The school picked out three violinists for solo recitals, and Ming Ming was one of them. It was quite a honor. Though I think it was more a matter of luck than virtuosity for her case. The school probably picked among kids who had just finished a level, and Ming Ming got picked because she graduated from her twinkle variations this fall.
