wonderful milk

Yesterday Ming Ming got an eye infection, her right eye was all red and there were some gunt forming on the eyelids. I googled and found out that breast milk can help. So I just squeezed a drop of breast milk in both her eyes during nursing, and after one day (three treatments) the 'pink eye' was gone. It is like magic.

Ming Ming is still living in her own wreid time zone: sleeping from 3pm to 3am, waking up twice to play for half to one hour, and then from 3 to 8am, it is very difficult to get her back to sleep. So we finally decide to take her out in early morning so that she will sleep a bit in the morning, in the hope that the afternoon nap would not continue into the evening sleep (but it does not work).

it is nice to be back in the tropic, esp when I think of the painful dressing up Ming Ming had to go through each time when we went out in France and the US.

Lilian, who is 14 months old and exactly the same height as Ming Ming, has similar multiracial background as Ming Ming. With an american father, she is also in the trip along with her mum coming back to HK for the chinese new year. But Ming Ming is a better traveller, she slept for almost 9 hours, and did not cry at all. While Lilian cried and made her mum walk around with her in the plane quite a lot.

theme of the week - rest

with Caillou... sweet dreams

between the 24h long trip last sunday and another equally long one this coming friday, this week we only try to rest and sleep as much as we can. Ming Ming is still living in french time, I do not know how she will adjust to hk time in two days.

bébé nageur

This morning, at 8am, -10C, we brave the weather to take Ming Ming to bébé nageur. The pool is heat up to 30C to accomodate baby swimmers. Ming Ming is so taken by the orange ball and the environment and people around her that I am not sure if she realizes that she is in water. Anyway, she is happy and at ease. We stay for half an hour, and on the way back, she falls asleep in the car. Any activities that end up in a nap is a very good activity.

yesterday we looked around in centerville bourg to buy a swiming suit for Ming Ming. With the temperature staying persistently under 0C, it was difficult to find a swiming suit. The only one that we found was from a brandname boutique, the small piece of fabric costs 16euro. Though mamicath was temped to buy it, I insisted that it was not worth it and we ended up buying a small underwear. Ming Ming looks really funny with it.
