a week in Argolis region, Peloponnese

After one days of travel (3 hours of boat, 2 hours by car), we arrived at Kiveri in Peloponnese in late afternoon. The rented air b&b is quirky, dark, and feels kind of dirty, we decided at 10pm, after eating in a seafood tavern, to move out of the rented house and move into a small apartment run by a french woman on the seaside. An absolutely exhausting day, we lost count of how many times we had moved our luggages.

five days in Paros Island

3 hours by boat, we arrived at Paros, an island SE of Athens. We could not quite find any reference to Paros in Ming Ming's Greek mythology book, but the island next to it, Naxos, is the island where Theseus abandoned Ariadne after she helped him kill the minotaur. Dionysus wanted Ariadne and ordered Theseus to leave her there. Ariadne quickly fell in love with Dionysus and ascended to heaven. Despite the lack of ref to mythology, we find Paros absolutely charming and relaxing with its many small towns and villages to visit, the beautiful sandy beaches and clear water, and most importantly, with the amazing apartment mamiecath has found for us to stay.

our time in Paros mostly comprised of time at the beach, a visit to the nearby town/village, lunch at restaurants, and dinner at our beautiful balcony overlooking the mountain, beach, and water that made up the Greek Islands. here is the beach just outside our apartment.
